JJB Sports has signed for a 100,000 ft² unit
Sports retailer JJB Sports has signed for a 100,000 ft² unit at SEGRO’s Heywood Distribution Park in Greater Manchester.
The company has taken a one-year lease for the storage of older products being removed from shelves as part of a major drive to revamp its retail stores.
The stock will then be transferred into “clearance stores”, said JJB’s estates manager Alan Stell.
Daniel Burn of King Sturge, which is joint agent on the scheme, said: “JJB approached us with an urgent requirement and we pulled out all the stops to make sure we could accommodate their needs in a very short timescale."
SEGRO has recently secured four lettings totalling 115,228 ft² at Heywood.
King Sturge is joint agent with Savills on the park.
