Former Daks site at Larkhall goes on the market

An opportunity for a mixed-use development on a site of some 7.36 hectares

The former DAKS Scottish manufacturing complex and site at south Larkhall in Lanarkshire is being marketed by King Sturge.  The site offers potential buyers a major development opportunity.

The property is situated in the Strutherhill Industrial Estate, which is located on the southern edge of the town.  It enjoys good access to the national motorway network, being close to junction 8 of the M74.  Glasgow, Edinburgh and Prestwick International Airports are all within a one hour drive.

The buildings provide a series of interlinked blocks extending to 29,705 m² (319,738 ft²), with areas of hard standing and car parking on a site of some 7.36 hectares (18.17 acres). The property requires extensive refurbishment although interested parties may assume a complete redevelopment of the site for a potential new mixed use opportunity subject to the requisite planning and building warrant approvals.

Douglas Patrick, Industrial Partner at the Glasgow office, said: “This is an interesting instruction, with the opportunity for a mixed-use development.
