Eden - High Wycombe

Providing over 600,000 sq ft of new retail & leisure space




When it opens in March 2008 the £275 million Eden will be amongst the most exciting new shopping and leisure destination in the country. The new scheme will include over 50 shops, incorporating a new four level House of Fraser department store and a two storey Marks and Spencer, a 12-screen cinema, state-of-the-art bowling alley, a library, 60 new residential units, a new civic square and exclusive restaurants and cafes.

With parking spaces for over 1,500 cars and a brand new bus passenger interchange, the new scheme will link with the existing Octagon Centre, which is currently undergoing a multi-million pound refurbishment, transforming the town into a top 50 CACI ranked retail destination. The refurbishment work will be completed by ready for the opening of Eden in spring 2008, with The Octagon Centre then being fully integrated into Eden and the Octagon name disappearing for good.

Eden is being developed by Multiplex and Aldersgate Investments in partnership with Wycombe District Council and will act as the catalyst for High Wycombe’s exciting £500 million regeneration masterplan.

King Sturge introduced the opportunity for the development, worked up conceptual proposals with Lyon Sleeman Hoare architects, agreed the anchor store lettings to House of Fraser and Marks and Spencer, and helped negotiate the Development Agreement with the Council. King Sturge are fully retailed as letting agents, with the scheme now 85% pre-let.
