King Sturge has been solely retained to advise on lease consultancy and on future acquisitions
Celebrations Group has appointed King Sturge to act on its behalf in all property matters, including an aggressive expansion programme that includes 40 or more store openings in the next year for its Card Warehouse brand.
Celebrations is the third largest specialist greeting card retailer in the UK and was created in January 2007 by the acquisition of 282 stores from the administrator of Greeting Card Group. It trades under the names Cardfair and Card Warehouse.
King Sturge has been solely retained to advise them on both lease consultancy in respect of the existing portfolio of 287 stores and on future acquisitions.
Celebrations is seeking stores of around 1,200 ft² in a mixture of high street, shopping centre and retail park locations across the UK.
Mike Fullerton, Head of Property at Celebrations Group, commented: "We are delighted to have appointed King Sturge to advise us on all property matters in what is an exciting time in the development and expansion of the group."
Tim Hance, Joint Head of UK Retail Leasing at King Sturge, said: “We look forward to working with Celebrations Group on its acquisition programme. Its new shopfit and trading style (as shown) will take the group into its next stage of development and growth in which we are looking forward to playing a major role.”
