The investment team in the Birmingham office of King Sturge has capped a record-breaking year by winning another top award at Property Week’s inaugural Midland Property Awards ceremony, held at the International Convention Centre, where they were honoured as the region’s Investment agency team of the year.
Partner Andrew Price, who received the award together with colleagues Jonathan Ward, Ben Blackwall and Alan Ryall, said that during the last year, the Birmingham-based investment team had completed 80 transactions totalling £570 million.
Major deals included the £37.1 million purchase of Minworth Industrial Estate, Birmingham, the £30 million disposal of a 285,000 ft² distribution unit and 16 acres of expansion land at Middlemarch Business Park near Coventry Airport and the £24.25 million sale of Drayton Manor Business Park, near Tamworth.
Andrew said: “We were delighted to receive the award which has confirmed our consistency as a top performer in the Midlands property investment market.”
This is the third award the investment team has received in the last three years having been named as Midland Property Investment Team of the Year at award ceremonies organised by Insider magazine in 2004 and 2006.
