King Sturge confirms acquisition of Bache Treharne

King Sturge LLP has confirmed that it has acquired of the business of Bache Treharne LLP, based in Birmingham, London and Leeds, to form the largest Plant & Machinery business in the UK, and at the same time provide leadership, experience and expertise to the Firm’s capability in the insolvency market.
A well known and highly regarded advisor in the UK insolvency market, Peter Bache has provided assistance to a number of major UK Banks and Insolvency Practitioners including the high profile cases such as MG Rover, Metronet, Enron and Arrows Formula 1 Team. King Sturge has previously acted for the Administrators of The Gadget Shop, Kwik Save and is currently engaged on a number of disposals for the Administrators of shoe chain Dolcis.
Peter Bache will become a Partner of King Sturge with a national remit spending time mainly in London and Birmingham. The 29 staff will similarly transfer to King Sturge and relocate to the Firms’ offices in Birmingham, London and Leeds.

The largest presence is in Birmingham. Ian Cornock, Managing Partner of King Sturge, Birmingham commented: “The two businesses complement each other and will allow us to strengthen our relationships with mutual clients as well as increasing our client base. Furthermore the merged entity will be able to offer a dedicated Business Recovery Team, a rare offer in the Midlands market.”
