Heritage Lottery Fund appoints King Sturge Building Consultancy team
Cardiff building consultancy team has been appointed by Heritage Lottery Fund on the next phase of development at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, the home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club.
The historic ground has undergone a recent transformation following the announcement that the club will host an Ashes Test between England and Australia in 2009. During the 2007 season, the old ground was redeveloped into a magnificent new stadium, with a capacity of approximately 16,000 and a new series of corporate boxes and hospitality areas constructed. Work was completed in March 2008.
Jonathan Churchill, Partner in Building said “we are pleased to be involved with the development of the Museum of Welsh Cricket which focuses on the history and development of cricket in Wales.”
