King Sturge merges Manchester Development and Regeneration teams

19 May 2008

Strengthening the relationship between the teams will benefit our clients

The Development and Regeneration Consultancy teams in the Manchester office have formally merged as of the 1st May 2008. The two teams have worked closely on many projects, but have now taken this practical step as the regeneration agenda matures from a primarily public sector led range of interventions into an era of greater collaboration across the interface between the public and private sectors to deliver policies, services and infrastructure in a sustainable manner. The client and skills bases of the two teams have become increasingly interlinked and we believe that our operational efficiency and quality of service to our clients will only benefit by strengthening the day-to-day relationship between the teams.

Over the past few years King Sturge Regeneration Consultancy has developed extensive experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams of chartered surveyors, town planners, architects, economists and research consultants. Our comprehensive market knowledge enables us to define the optimum scheme or strategic approach for any site or area; advice which is based on reality with an emphasis on feasibility and delivery.

King Sturge Development provides specialist advice on development consultancy, disposal and acquisition to landowners, developers and occupiers, from both the private and public sector. The team advises wherever change takes place, either in the development of greenfield sites or in the renewal of brownfield land.

Debbie Lloyd, Partner in the new team, stated “Following the merger the combined team will continue to offer the full range of services previously provided, as well as seeking to facilitate effective dialogue between public and private sector clients to ensure all sides are maximising the potential for cross-sector partnerships”.
