Launching its residential and commercial property services in the city
King Sturge, Plymouth’s first national property agent to open an office in the city, has celebrated the launch of their residential and commercial property services in Plymouth. The international property agent, one of the largest in Europe, selected Plymouth as the latest location from which to offer property services because of the significant development opportunities available in the city. Their new office located in Southside Street on the Barbican joins a network of 51 King Sturge offices worldwide.
King Sturge opened its residential department in the summer and on the 1st November it was expanded to offer commercial property services to new and existing clients in the growing Plymouth market. Over a hundred of the region’s leading business people joined senior partners from King Sturge at an event at The Plymouth Gin Black Friars Distillery on 1st November to celebrate the launch of the Plymouth King Sturge office.
Robert Atwell, Head of Residential for the South West, Midlands and Wales at King Sturge commented: “Plymouth is a rising star in the Westcountry property market. The council’s planned policy to grow the population and the massive regeneration programme underway present very exciting opportunities and we could see the long term potential the city has.”
The new Plymouth office will allow King Sturge to strengthen their position in the Plymouth market place and across the South West. Partner and new homes expert, Andrew Bullivant, heads up the nine-strong residential team and Associate, Ifan Rhys-Jones, leads the commercial department.
Andrew Bullivant commented: “King Sturge voted with its feet by investing in a Plymouth office and in doing so has signalled our long term confidence in the city. We already have a strong presence and track record in the South West commercial market from our Exeter office and we will build on this reputation in the fast growing Plymouth marketplace.
“On the residential side, we’ve just returned very promising first quarter figures and are involved in many of the high profile regeneration projects in the region, such as the £350 million regeneration of Millbay – it is an exciting time to have opened the office and we look forward to a successful future.”
