Redevelopment of the former Army & Navy department store in Week Street

Kilmerlin Danesmount has submitted a planning application to Maidstone Borough Council for the redevelopment of the former Army & Navy department store in Week Street, Maidstone, Kent.

The proposed landmark building, anticipated to be completed in spring 2009, will comprise 16,500 ft² of retail/restaurant space over ground and first floors along with three floors of residential apartments.

Kilmerlin Danesmount purchased the building at 69-77 Week Street from Land Securities in February last year and has been working up development proposals since then, culminating in the recent planning application.

King Sturge and Hartnell Taylor Cook have been appointed joint letting agents for the scheme and are now seeking pre-lettings.
