Plumb location - Dunsinane Park Development opens for business
23 July 2008
Plumbstore welcomed their first customers to their new Dundee outlet
On Monday 14 July, the first tenant at SCOT Sheridan’s Dunsinane Park development close to the Kingsway in Dundee, opened its doors with the creation of 5 new jobs.
Plumbstore is the largest independent plumbing and heating merchant in Scotland and currently has 10 branches trading across the country. The Dundee outlet and a planned East Kilbride branch due to open in the autumn will grow the network to 12.
The company will operate from a 7,500 ft² unit at Dunsinane Park – the only new-build, speculative light industrial development to be constructed in the area for many years. Plumbstore will sell a large range of plumbing and heating supplies, including bathroom suites, bathroom furniture, sinks, taps, boilers, showers, shower enclosures and underfloor heating.
Plumbstore Managing Director, Tommy Todd said; “We’re delighted to be opening in Dundee and have a great team in place with the experience and talent to service the requirements of the area’s plumbing and heating trade. We’re also extremely pleased with our new premises which give us modern, flexible accommodation in a location that’s easily accessed by potential customers.”
SCOT Sheridan director, David Young said; “It’s great to see the doors opening at our first tenant at Dunsinane Park. Much of the existing accommodation for a business of this kind in the area is fairly old and we believe the modern, easily accessed units we have provided at Dunsinane Park will continue to attract further businesses into the area.”
