PPG Land brings warehouse opportunity to Warrington

23 July 2008

The scheme at Winwick Quay has been renamed Calver 9

Developer PPG Land has completed the refurbishment of an 8,802 m² (94,750 ft²) warehouse at Winwick Quay in Warrington.

Work on the unit has followed the company’s purchase of the former Cert building late last year. The scheme, close to junction 9 of the M62, has been renamed Calver 9 and is available at a rental of £4.65 p/ft² or with the freehold also available.

The unit comprises a self contained distribution facility on a site of approx 4.76 acres and benefits from an internal height of 11.35 metres to the underside of haunch, 13 access doors and a self contained office facility. It is fully fitted with sodium lighting and has racking to accommodate 7,200 pallet positions.

Steve Johnson of joint letting agents King Sturge commented: “Calver 9 represents a rare opportunity to acquire a fully fitted building in a prime distribution location on flexible terms.  Take-up of buildings in this size range has been consistent with six transactions between 9,290 - 13,935 m² (100,000 - 150,000 ft²) in the last six months. We, therefore, believe that Calver 9 will fulfil a current trend for high quality, fully fitted, second hand facilities with good access to the motorway network”.
