Taking 48,000 ft² at Land Securities’ £35 million Willow Place retail scheme in Corby
Primark has been named as the final anchor for Land Securities’ £35 million Willow Place retail scheme in Corby, Northamptonshire. The budget retailer will take 48,000 ft² at the 175,000 ft² scheme which opened in October last year.
LandSec is also in advanced negotiations with three major retailers to take the five remaining units in the scheme. TK Maxx is the second anchor and other retailers include New Look, Dorothy Perkins, Burton, Evans, River Island and Jane Norman.
In March, Land Securities submitted a planning application for a second phase of development, known as ‘Evolution Corby’ to expand the town centre.
The site will be adjacent to Willow Place and comprises 330,185 ft² of retail incorporating a 120,000 ft² anchor store and 29 shop units.
The proposals also include an 8,000 ft² sports facility, 350 homes and 1,600 parking spaces.
Evolution Corby has been designed by Chapman Taylor Architects.
King Sturge are joint agents on the Willow Place scheme with Chase & Partners.
