Print finishing firm’s assets go under virtual hammer

King Sturge has been instructed to dispose of specialist plant, print finishing and binding equipment
The assets of the now defunct Cotswold Print Finishers Ltd are to be sold online by plant & machinery agents King Sturge.
Specialist plant including an excellent range of print finishing and spiral binding equipment will be available to purchase alongside office furniture, computers and other equipment.
The sale is believed to be the first time such an extensive range of calendar manufacturing equipment has come onto the market in the south west for some time.
Bristol-based Cotswold Print Finishers Ltd went into liquidation earlier this year and King Sturge has been instructed to dispose of their assets.
King Sturge’s London-based head of plant machinery Spencer Chapman said there had already been considerable interest – much of it local to the south west.
Mr Chapman said: “Cotswolds were members of the BPIF (British Printing Industries Federation) and their factory was in superb order. Many of the company’s former customers and suppliers have expressed an interest in acquiring items and there have also been inquiries from the wider public.
“Some of the equipment is very specialised spiral binding which was used in the manufacture of calendars and such items may be rather rare in the south west. I certainly expect interest to continue to grow as the sale approaches.”
He added that a catalogue of the items available for sale can be downloaded from the King Sturge website.
The equipment is available to view in Bristol on Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 July and will be sold via an online auction starting on Monday July 21 and closing at 1pm on Friday July 25.
