Working on behalf of Wolverhampton City Council the team was commissioned to review a business plan previously prepared by Arena Leisure, who sought planning permission to redevelop the racecourse facilities. The plans included the enlargement and refurbishment of the hotel and conference and meeting space. A ‘racino’ was also foreseen. The racecourse is located within a dedicated greenbelt area which complicated the planning procedures.
