Fixed charge receivership

Within the King Sturge Business Recovery Group we have extensive experience of acting for lenders as fixed charge receivers, often known as Law of Property Act 1925 or LPA receivership.

A number of partners throughout England and Wales are RICS Registered Property Receivers, having received registration reflecting their experience and expertise in this specialist area.

We fully appreciate the legal obligations and duties of a fixed charge receivership appointment, and the need in particular to secure any income stream to offset the loan interest accruing against the charged asset.

The fixed charge receiver acts as the main point of contact, instructing King Sturge and other specialists in the day-to-day functions required to maximise the potential of the property asset under his control. This provides a strategic direction and a consistency/continuity to all matters related to the property asset.

The Core services include:

  • Establishing the receivership
  • Receiving and implementing strategy
  • Property management
  • Asset enhancement
  • Disposal
