King Sturge uses Microsoft Windows SharePoint (SharePoint) to provide extranet solutions. SharePoint is a versatile technology that organisations and business units of all sizes can use to increase the efficiency of business processes and improve team productivity. With tools for collaboration that help people stay connected across organizational and geographic boundaries, SharePoint gives people access to information they need.
Document handling, or document management, enables us to:
- Store documents in folders (e.g. by document type, property, or town);
- Assign permissions to documents, so certain users have access but others don’t;
- Offer version control, so if a document is changed, a new version of the document is created. This means you can “roll-back” to a previous version or track the changes for auditing purposes (useful, for example, when preparing legal documents);
- Allow clients to add and edit documents if necessary.
